Barbara Kelly has been a independent bookseller for the past 34 years. She started out as a frontline seller at the Bookland of Maine chain in South Portland and then transitioned to Tradebook Manager at the University of Southern Maine (USM) bookstores.  Her career has reflected her passion to create connections between books and their intended (and unintended) audiences.

After 24 years at USM being the bookseller for university events and professional conferences,  Barbara Kelly opened this Maine-based business specializing in book sales at conferences, special events and author appearances.

She loves researching titles that relate to whatever the theme of the event may be and also makes sure that tiles written by presenters are readily available. She also sponsors author events on her own at various Southern Maine locations  and acts as the bookseller for authors  at libraries and other venues. Barbara Kelly is available to set up just about anywhere and will personally deliver books in the greater Portland , Maine area.

Kelly (as she is commonly known) also works as a costume designer for various theatre groups in Southern Maine and when not attending a theatrical event can be found reading a good book!

Hi, Kelly – I bought a book or two from you at Stonecoast this summer, and now I’d like to order Stephen Dobyns’s Best Words, Best Order. I’m not quite sure how to do that, but I’m hoping you can tell me. I will be away from my normal email 12/7-12/11, but you can reach me at crimmide@gmail.com during that time. Thanks! – Deborah Crimmins
